The History of The Nuggets Motorcycle Club
The Nuggets Motorcycle Club started in 1962, from the Nugget Bar in Buena Park, Ca.   The original patch
was a beer drinking rabbit on a motorcycle. These were the 3 things the Nuggets liked to do...Fuck like a
rabbit, drink beer & ride motorcycles....This patch was worn on a multicolored serape. In 1964 the patch was
changed to as it is today.

In 1968 the Nuggets Club House was opened, also in Buena Park.  Nearly all clubs came, and all obeyed the
"neutral ground" rule. That is not to say there were not any problems, but all problems were handled there.

In the early 70's, North Iowa and Grants Pass, Oregon chapters were started.

The Nuggets probably became best known for their runs. The "Death Valley Run"  from 1975 - 1978. Riders
came in from all over the states as well as England, Australia, Germany, etc.  Finally, in 1979 the Nuggets
were told they were not welcomed back.  Then there was the Nugget run at Big Oak Ranch in San Diego. All
the Nugget runs were well attended. The Nuggets always knew how to throw a party.

One other thing that the Nuggets were known for was their "beer truck." Many other club runs weren't
scheduled until it was confirmed that the Nugget beer truck was available. The party didn't start until the
beer truck arrived and didn't end until the beer truck left.

The 80's brought other problems with the Nuggets, several members were given state and federal
vacations.

Now the "new generation" biker is among us.
New clubs starting everyday;  women clubs, Christian clubs, sober clubs, military clubs, union clubs, cop
clubs, hell...there might even be a gay cop club.....

The Nuggets still maintain the same values and traditions they had when the club was started.
